Queer Bodies

Carnis - “Of the Meat”

My BFA thesis encompassed fine art, conceptual artwork in oil painting, textiles, experimental and wearable sculpture, photography, and installation. Through this work, I explored themes of queer sexuality, skin, gender, and the body. The result was a series of “larger than life” sculptures and oil paintings that challenge perceptions of the body and queer visibility.

An artwork sculpture resembling a creature with a body made of soft pillows and plush fabric, featuring mushrooms and botanical elements, set against a plain white background.
